Hi, I'm Chad. Pull up a chair.
I've been a magician since I was 10 — that's 47 years and over 10,000 shows ago. Somewhere in there I became Mr. Twisty, wrote nine books, built a few worlds online for kids and grown-ups, and figured out the only thing I really do is tell stories — sometimes with magic, sometimes with balloons, sometimes just with words.

One stage. Many costumes.
I was a kid trying to be David Copperfield. It didn't take. What did take was telling stories, doing comedy, getting kids involved, and making adults laugh harder than the kids did. That's still the gig.
Mr. Twisty was born in 1997 at a talent showcase where every other magician had a tiger or a dove. I had a balloon. The balloon won.
Since then: 10,000+ shows, headlining at Zygofolis in Nice, France, five years on Radio Disney, nine books, a school assembly program, a free site for kids, and — when I'm not on stage — a worm farm. (Really.)
